Fire Department

Idabel Fire and Rescue is a combination department with 11 paid and 15-20 volunteers.

Our mission is to protect lives, property, and the environment from fire and exposure to hazardous materials.  We offer programs which prepare our citizens for emergencies and provide pre-hospital emergency medical care. All paid personnel are trained to EMR (Emergency Medical Responders) level. We have 1 paid firefighter and 3 volunteers trained to paramedic level. We also provide non-emergency services, including fire prevention and related code enforcement, to residents and visitors of the City of Idabel.
