Nutrition Center

The Idabel Nutrition Center participates in and partners with the local Area Agency on Aging, the Feed the Need Foundation for Rural Oklahoma, and the Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma (KEDDO) to provide service to Idabel citizens who are over 60 years in age.

The Center serves lunch to senior citizens that are 60+ years old with a suggested donation of $1.50 for meals provided to 60+ and require a $4.00 payment to those that are under 60.  The Center currently feeds anywhere from 45-60 people a day, delivers 105 meals to those that are homebound, and serves 32 meals to the Garvin Center.

We have a place for seniors to come and play cards, moon, dominoes, watch TV, visit with others, enjoy Bingo weekly and partake in other activities throughout the month. The Center runs a bus to pick seniors up if they need a ride and will take them home after lunch. Please note that the bus route only operates in the city limits of Idabel.

The Center only cooks for the amount of people registered therefore we require a reservation.  You may reserve daily or weekly but reservations need to be done before 9 am the day before you plan to come.  We also like to know if you aren't able to make it once your reservation has been made.
