RESOLUTION NO. 2020-03
A RESOLUTION RESCINDING CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NUMBER 2020-01 AND RESOLUTION NUMBER 2020-02.
WHEREAS, the City Council did on the 17th day of March, 2020 adopted Resolution No. 2020-01 and on the 3rd day of April, 2020 adopted Resolution No. 2020-02 to control the spread of COVID-19 virus pandemic.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of April, 2020 Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt enacted the Open Up and Recover Safely (OURS) Plan. “From the beginning it has been my intent to protect the health and lives of Oklahomans, especially our vulnerable populations, and mitigate the impact to Oklahoma’s economy,” said Gov. Stitt. “As we begin to responsibly implement this measured response to open Oklahoma’s economy back up, we will continue to prioritize the safety of our people and base all decisions on the data in our state.”
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor of Idabel, Craig Young, that Resolutions No. 2020-01 and No. 2020-02 hereby be rescinded and declared null and void as of May 8, 2020.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Idabel City Hall will open the doors on Monday May 11, 2020. The hours will be 8:00am to 4:00pm, all vulnerable individuals should continue to use the night box, drive thru and/or call the city hall during open hours for any service needed during this phased opening.
CURFEW, the City of Idabel will no longer be enforcing the 10:00pm thru 5:00am curfew, the City will continue to enforce the curfew for minors as outlined in the Code of Ordinances in section 10-415.
The Idabel City Hall has and will continue to be cleaned as required by cleaning protocols. All individuals entering the City Hall should expect additional screening, this may include temperature checks and maintaining social distancing during your visit.
